Welcome to Webequilts.com, a place to create beautiful quilts or buy signature quilts for that special newborn or newlywed or graduate. Examples of these heirloom treasures are shown through out the website. Previous mystery quilt instructions are available for purchase using PayPal or printing an order from and mailing payment.
Due to the recent economic times and it's direct effect on the costs associated with maintaining the website I have had to rethink my mystery quilts' program. I will no longer be able to provide free on line mystery quilts, but that doesn't mean they will go away. As a way of generating revenue to keep costs down I will be instilling a new format and presentation for these online mystery quilts. Simply go to the mystery page and a brief description of the current mystery will be posted. Under the description will be a PayPal button for purchasing past mysteries, the prices range between 8-12 dollars . Once the payment has been received into my PayPal account an email will be sent to you with the mystery installments attached. This will still keep the integrity of the mystery since you can open each attachment separately as you progress through the mystery. Anyone who doesn't have PayPal and wishes to purchase the mystery may do so by printing up an order form off the website and sending it to me via postal mail along with your check or money order.
Please bear with me while I work out any kinks with this new format and as always the yahoo group is still a very useful tool for questions or posting progress/results with any mystery you're working on. I will still keep folders specific to each mystery for posting your pictures, and ask that any questions you may have regarding any mystery are first identified by the mystery number in order to avoid confusion.
New mysteries will be available three to four times a year and will be presented on line in a class room environment. Sign ups for the class will be available a month or two prior to the beginning of the class and will offer fabric requirements and a brief description of the mystery design. Students are encouraged to take pictures of their fabric choices prior to the beginning of the class and downloading them into a fabric audition folder that is made available at the yahoo mystery_quilts group. Links to that group are available through out this website.
Well that's it in a nutshell. I guess the end of the free on-line mysterys is a sign of the times but for a nominal fee it doesn't have to be the end of the fun. Hope everyone understands and is able to continue with the mystery challenges.
Regards,
Lesley
